Pushing the limit of what is possible within a constrained technical environment.
Royal Air Maroc Portal Design Concept

Re-theming of an off-the-shelf software product to demonstrate the flexibility in matching the customer’s branding guidelines.

Client

Thales Avionics – Royal Air Maroc

My Role

We wanted to give our customer an idea of what the possibilities were with branding and customizing an off-the-shelf IFE connectivity web portal. To demonstrate the flexibility and customization options I created a prototype of what the portal application might look like with their requested branding and options.

Discovery

I met with the customer care representative of the client and worked out what features should be included in their mock-up. Also taken into consideration were the companies branding guidelines as well as design queues taken from studying their existing website.

All of this data was synthesized into the responsive mobile and desktop resolution prototypes.

Most airline passengers use their phone or tablet to connect so a mobile first approach was taken to ensure an optimal experience.

Conclusion

As a result of the prototype the customers interest in our off-the-shelf offering was renewed.

This was a fun exercise is attempting to push the limits of what was possible given the technical limitations of the system the application would ultimately be created in.
